There's a tradition in JPRGs to make an entire playable section near the beginning of the game as a sort of proof of concept which can be released as a demo. The FFVII bombing run, for example. It's something we should absolutely do for a number of psychological and practical reasons: focusing our efforts, working the kinks out among the team, and making the naysayers look silly chief among them.

I have spoken to Raziel on this matter; he would like us to get a definitive prologue written soon so he can start working on it. Until then, he'll just keep adding stuff onto the pre-existing demo.

Nave and I had a chat and the target for the first prologue draft is Monday 3/17.

If you want to get started right away: at the moment we know we'll need a city hall map, a tavern area, and a gladiatorial arena. More details to come as the script takes shape!

Attn Raziel: I've uploaded sketches of what the prologue area, Home Town, looks like and all of the interior spaces we'll need to execute the story we've written to the dropbox under game files/maps/prologue area sketches.

Don't feel overly limited by them. As long as the elements we need are in place and more-or-less arranged in that pattern, the setting works.
